What comes after patriarchy? Wasn’t there cultures living in matriarchal structures already thousands of years ago? How about more inclusive feminist societies? Should we not only re-think the binary but also include non-human living beings in our actions and thinking, so that we can survive with and in this world?
Lunatic Games is a Riso-printed Graphic Novel describing a virtual journey in three chapters: a moon ritual in 1021 before common era, a sleepless research night in 2021, and a speculative future in 3021, inspired by Donna Haraway’s ideas. In Haraway’s "Camille stories", the feminist and historian of natural science seems to formulate the initial questions most consistently and radically, by sketching out a story about genetically mixed species including humans. Because maybe it is precisely these lunatic games that we need to play in order to imagine and create better futures.
